After being disappointed that this week’s community meetings were not streamed live as planned, I can understand why you might view this post dubiously. But please give me another chance.
The community meetings introduced this year’s planned revision to the Ivins General Plan and land use. Well, the actual work really gets underway on Tuesday at 6pm at City Hall. It’s an open meeting so you can attend.
And the audio will be streamed live – not video – just audio. The City has been doing this for City Council meetings effectively, without all the AV glitches. So, it should work.
You can listen to the live audio feed by going to www.ivins.com and look under “Upcoming Events.” Once the meeting is live (right around 6pm, but give it a few minutes), it will reflect “In Progress” –Click on the “In Progress” link to listen to the meeting live.
The General Plan revision is going to take a number of months because the City wants to get a lot of public input. By listening to Tuesday’s meeting, we will all get a better idea of the plan and the process, so we will be better able to participate effectively.
