The Ivins Youth Council was in the spotlight at Thursday night’s City Council meeting! Youth Mayor Sam Haws, Youth Council Manager Lexi Woods, and Membership Team member Royce Saxton gave a terrific presentation highlighting the Youth Council’s community involvement, from the Easter Egg Scramble and Summer Foam Blast to Heritage Days.
And they’re just getting started! They shared exciting plans for the upcoming Halloween Bash and their Community Impact Challenge, where they’re working to turn a great idea into a project that makes a real difference for Ivins youth – adjustable basketball hoops at Unity Park. Stay tuned for more information!
The trio did an outstanding job representing the Youth Council and earned enthusiastic applause from a packed City Council chamber.
Young voices. Big ideas. A great future for Ivins!
